If you live in the New York area or are a fan of a New York sports team, then you know who Mike and the Mad Dog are. You've probably never listened to Mike Francesa and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo. But they are probably two of the most important people in sports media history. The two basically invented, sports talk radio and have been the model that every sports radio station in the country has tried to follow. The two had the number one show on WFAN for 19 years and will go down as the greatest sports show in history.

However, the show ended in 2008 after Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, left WFAN to start his Sirius XM channel Mad Dog Sports. Since then, everyone has been begging for the two of them to get back together and rekindle some of that magic they had. This led to many reunion shows, and the two appeared on each other's shows from time to time. However, none of these reunion shows will be able to hold a candle to the one that is going to happen on February 1st.

Mike and the Mad Dog PLUS Steven A. Smith. I mean this is an avengers level type of cross-over. You have two of the best sports radio personalities ever. I know that both of them are losing their touch, and aren't the same as they were back in the glory days on the WFAN. But nevertheless, they're still some of the biggest names in sports media. Then you have Steven A. The guy who invented the hot takes. The guy everyone is trying to copy. I mean how can this get much better?

Like there are going to be things said during this telecast that you never thought in a million years you hear. I hope Steven A. has some serious hot takes to throw at Mike and Dog to really get them fired up. There are just going to be moments when the three of them are going to be screaming at each other and nobody is going to be able to comprehend what they're saying.

I can't even tell you how excited I am about this. You should be too, even if you have never heard of Mike Francesa or Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, you should still watch this. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
